The FCA bans on Bitcoin and other crypto assets are too harsh and hypocritical.
I as a British citizen and Im concerned about the recent Bitcoin ban. Reasons why:
You can be scammed out on Forex trading due to high leverage, online con artists and platforms shutting down forex trading altogether.
Plus 500 stopped trading the USA/CNH trading pair after the trade war was declared by trump.
Gambling has no regulations, I can spend as much money as possible on any game or sport and no questions are asked.
A uni student committed suicide last year after being groomed by gambling companies to spend over 20k in one week. No action was taken.
Platforms such as plus 500 offer options that have high spreads, hidden leverage, doesn't track the asset price and can be shut down and can be manupliated by the platform at will.
Plus 500 regulary increase the spread of options such as gold, oil, stocks during trading days and also shut down trading on a daily basis. Plus 500 shut down Natural gas options for 12hrs due to a 6% slump.
The UK is one of the biggest money laundering and predatory finance trading countries in the world.
The requirements to be a pro trader are insane: ( you need 2/3)
you need experience working in finance.
500k trading captail
Or make 12+ large trades in the past year.
Ironically using Binance and Coinbase for trading has been safer for me compared to uk stock/forex trading apps. In summary the reasons above HAPPEN ALL THE TIME AND NOTHING IS BEING DONE TO STOP THESE THINGS FROM HAPPENING. But Bitcoin and cryptocurrencey as a whole are seen as evil even though they have been profitable for the majority of their existence.
Usually, bull markets attract a lot of new investors - although speculators should be the right word here - and as usual, a lot of them are going to be crushed a way or another. First, before putting a single dollar, euro or whatever in the market, you should read a lot to know exactly what you're looking for. Are you here for the tech and/or the cypherpunk ethos ? Great, there's lot of resources out there (my links are cleaned but as always, do your due diligence) :
The Bitcoin Whitepaper, the one and only : bitcoin.org/bitcoin.pdf Since I'm linking to bitcoin.org, friendly reminder to avoid bitcoin.com, owned by a former supporter now con-artist Roger Ver.
Andreas Antonopoulos website : https://aantonop.com Andreas is one of best guys able to educate on bitcoin and its properties, for free, which helps.
Jameson Lopp website : lopp.net Jameson is a member of Bitcoin Core, cypherpunk, also able to educate a lot. His website is full of free resources and other links. You'll have a lot to read.
Hal Finney : he's unfortunately dead but I would advise to read about Hal Finney, the first to receive bitcoin Satoshi. A great cryptographer, the inventor of the first reusable PoW and one of the first bitcoin supporters. You'll be able to find his messages on this old forum Bitcoin Talk, by the way you'll be able to find the first chats about bitcoin on this forum bitcointalk.org
Monero website : getmonero.org Yep, I know it's gonna be controversial to post an altcoin link but personally, I think that Monero (aka XMR) is the only other coin with a big cypherpunk community, decentralized, and able to help newcomers with a great sense of responsibility, since the ethos here is to save privacy.
What Bitcoin Did : of course, Peter is controversial but I love him and I find his former blog and his podcasts very needed because he doesn't oversell himself. Pete knows that he's not a tech guy (like many of us) and just wants to spread the word, I think he does a good job with this.
Now, you've read and you want to put some skin in the game. Several exchanges are acceptable, a lot of aren't, be careful and assume that none really are (know that I won't post any ref links) :
to me, the best, although it's UI is quite old : Kraken €/$/pound/swiss franc on-off ramp
Coinbase and Coinbase Pro Difficult not to mention Coinbase, although I can't stand Brian Armstrong and the way they are doing their best to support scams currently. You should rather use Coinbase Pro if you have to since the fees are much lower.
Binance Binance came later than the previous ones but has managed to take most of the market. Now, you should remember what I said about being careful.
Huobi The biggest chinese exchange and they work closely with chinese official. Again, careful.
Bittrex Once at the top, now somewhere in the limbs.
A lot of new comers came recently like btse, ftx, feel free to try them while always keeping in mind that once your money is on exchanges, it's not yours anymore.
This was for centralized exchanges aka CEX. Talking about custodial, you'll need wallets to store your (bit)coins. Always try to use non-custodial wallets, which means wallets that give you your private keys. This way, if the software goes down, you can always retreive your money. Now, I won't link to all the existing wallets but will advise you to buy hardware wallets (trezor or ledger but there are others) or to create (on off-gap computers) paper wallets you're able to store safely (against all risks, not only robbery but housefire). You also could use your memory with brain wallets but, my gosh, I wouldn't trust myself. For Bitcoin (or even Litecoin), Electrum software can do a good job (but save your keys). AGAIN, DON'T KEEP YOUR SAVINGS ON AN EXCHANGE Now, about trading : it's been repeated and repeated but don't chase pumps and altcoins. Yep, it's probably the fastest way to make money. It's also the fastest to lose it. I won't lie : I made good money during the 2017-bullrun and I took profits but I also forgot to sell some shitcoins thinking it would keep going up, now I'm still holding these bags (although I don't really care). I know that a lot forgot to take profits. Take profits, always take profits, whatever your strategy is. Don't fall for people trying to sell you their bags, for ICOs trying to sell you a product which isn't released yet and obviously, don't fall for people asking for your private key. Also, know that there's two endgames : accumulating bitcoin or fiat. I'm rather in the first team but whatever your strategy is, take profits. (Yes, I know, some will say accumulating ethereum or something else). It's true that a lot of ethereum holders made a lot of money during the last bullrun (ethereum helped me make money too) but I'm really biased in favor of bitcoin (and monero). So, pick your coin but again, do your due diligence. A lot of people here or there will talk about the best tech, the fact that bitcoin is old and slow. I would need another post to go further on this point but know that a lof of air flight systems are old too but reliable. Trustless and reliable is the point here. This is the post from someone who bought bitcoin seven or six years ago, who lost part of them, who spent part of them (but don't regret this at all), who is still learning and I hope it will help others, although it would need a book to be complete.
What is the best way of selling a trading algorithm?
I created a trading algorithm which I want to sell. Its not scam, which usually people say when you want to sell it instead of keep it to urself. I dont really understand why except of being sceptical, correct me if im wrong. I want to know what kind of money making strategies are the best for selling my trading algorithm.
Payments for running my algorithm
Server 1, for my website.
Server 2, for my algorithm. (for security and performance its better to keeps these 2 seperate.)
Maybe some other payments I dont know yet that I have to pay for.
These payments are usually monthly or yearly payments.
Earnings that could be invested into the payments above
A part time job with an average salary of around 1k a month.
Me investing money into my own bot. I could withdraw a specific percentage after each profit trade. Balanced just right so I still raise in money thats inside my bot and do not get just 5 cents out of the withdraw.
These are earnings I could use to invest when im at the startup period. Since I would probably not earn enough money in this period with as good as no users at all.
Money earned from people that invested into my bot (algorithm).
This is the earning I want to use when im **not** in the **startup period**.
These are the strategies I am thinking of:
Starting is free, trades made by my bot (algorithm) have trading fee's from, for example, binance. And withdraw costs are 10% where, for example, 1% goes to binance and 9% to me. Pros:
New users might think its pretty cheap, they would lose nothing then already free earned money. the algoritm made $50 into $500 for them and they only lose 10% of it. Which would be $450 left with a $50 loss from that $500. This could result into more users, meaning more money invested in my bot.
If a user puts $1000 into my bot and keeps it running for 10 years with an average profit of 100% per year they would end up with 1 million. If users actually keep there money for this long without any withdraw I would basicly not earn any money from them till the last 10th year. If I do not have enough users that do withdraw in time it could result in being bankrupt...
I am not so sure if I can even make this strategy possible. Since the accounts are from an exchange like Binance I dont know if I can make sure an user can only withdraw at my website, so I can make sure I receive that 10% (-1% to binance, so 9%). If an user could login into there account and withdraw on the binance website I ofcourse can't receive that 10% so easily.
Inactive users. Users who lost there account or are not using it for any other reason. I would never receive any money from these type of users.
My opinion I would like to use this strat mostly because of my first pros. I told some real life people what I am creating and they where all saying that if it was only 10% they would for sure do it. These where people that never traded before and some of them I even had to explain what bitcoin was... This is ofcourse not my target audience but I would totally not mind if they would invest in me. Everyone was new to trading at some point and maybe I can be the trigger for them to start getting into it (or better said, getting into me :D ).
Starting is free, each trade made by my algorithm, buy or sell, will cost the user, for example, 0.5% of the amount. Where the withdraw costs are 0, exept for the costs that binance asks. Pros
I would earn **ALOT** more money the early states and would be able to pay off the servers or even upgrade them way fasteearlyer. This removes the risk of getting bankrupt at some point by not earning enough.
I would 100% sure be able to receive money from users, there would be no way (as far as I know) that users could bypass the costs. Which in strategy #1 may be possible.
Inactive users would not matter.
As good as all other websites that sell there algorithm's have this way of selling. I Belive being unique can work in case of getting extra users. They might think im different then these "scammers" if I use strategy #1.
Users might feel like they lose alot of money if they would start doing alot of calculations. And in the long term, they will ofcourse lose more money. Which is good for me but bad for them. This could result into losing users or getting less "new/starting" users.
My opinion This is definitly a secure/safe option. Especially in the early states. Maybe I could use this in the early states and use strategy #1 after the startup period (for only new users). But this could make everything very complicated.
Starting will cost, for example, $500. Trading fee's are free, exept for the one's from binance. And the same for withdrawing. Pros
I would for sure earn from each user and will be able to pay off my server's costs. But only if im actually popular.
New users would not buy or try my algorithm because it might be to expensive.
New users would not buy or try my algorithm because they could think its fake and do not want to take the risk.
People who are not experienced in trading or in investing would probably never start using my algorithm. Since I told some of those kind of people about this project I know this is true.
I would only earn once and only a set amount which would not make me really that rich... :D
My opinion It has more cons then pros which in my opinion means this is just a bad strategy.
What I want
I would like to know what u guys think is the best strategy and especially why. I would like it if someone has actually some tested results in what people would probably like the most and what would "sell" the best. If someone knows a 4th strategy or even more then I would like to know. But only the best strategy I would use and which one that is is what I want to know. NOTE! These pros and cons are NOT directly some actual facts or have never been seriously TESTED by me so if one of these are actually wrong, im sorry.
Common sites with HIGHEST payout and STABLE income << 04/10/2020 >>
This is a long post, but please try to read it all and select the most suitable one for you. When you see any sites with good payout and good potential, feel free to create a post. Also when you know site that is scam, please create a post to alert everyone as soon as possible. There're 4 main and common types of task you will encounter when using beermoney sites. You can use all the sites or just pick the most suitable type and site to work with. Using more than one site is recommended, as the number of tasks on one site is not high enough, and the tasks will not appear continuously.
I. MICRO-TASK (or Crowdsourcing task)
The task varies from article assessment, information collection, search-query classification/answer relevance, taking or collecting photo/video, to object identification,... The number of tasks will increase when you complete more tasks. Pros: - The number of tasks is higher and more stable than other types of beermoney task. - The payout is appropriate to your time and effort. You can even make stable income with them. Cons: - Sometimes you will need to pass the training test to access the task. - Your work may not be accepted if it does not meet the guideline. - It can be a little hard in the beginning, there're also not many tasks for you, but BE PATIENT, because they haven't been able to fully assess your ability yet. 1-Toloka Yandex: This is one of my favorite micro-task sites, and is the first on the list when I make beermoney site suggestion. The tasks are mainly in English and Russian. They also have tasks in your mother language too, depend on your setting and location. Don't worry about the language, as you can easily have it to be translated with translate extension (like Google Translate) or with any translation site. The task is easy enough to understand. The minimum withdrawal is $0.02 if you request to withdrawal once a week, and it will be $1 if more than once a week. You can withdraw the money to PayPal, Payoneer, Skrill or Papara. But to be able to withdraw with PayPal, you will need a verified PayPal account. Earnings with Toloka Here are registration links: ref-link and no-ref 2-Clickworker: One of the most popular micro-task sites, you can find many recommendations and good reputation about them. But to make the most if it, you will need to unlock UHRS, as describe here. You definitely shouldn't miss Clickworker and UHRS. Their payout rate is higher than Toloka, however it usually takes a month for your earning to become payable. Depend on your location and language, you can earn a great amount of money here, the highest I've earned in 1 day is $35. Be careful that you'll be considered spam if you complete the task too fast You can receive payment to PayPal account with the minimum of €5. You can choose other payment methods too, like SEPA transfers and Transferwise. (I'll update payment proof when receiving one - still need some days for the earning to become payable T_T) No need to say anymore, here are the links: ref-link and no-ref 3-Remotasks You will need to take part in training (which is quite hard and time-consuming) and pass the test to be able to access the tasks here. The tasks are categorization, text highlighting, image annotation, semantic segmentation,... and well-known Lidar Annotation and Segmentation. Here are registration links: ref-link and no-ref NOTE FOR MICRO-TASK:
It's highly recommended to use all those sites, and maybe other sites if you want, because the tasks are not shown continuously.
Make sure to fully understand the guideline, as you will not be credited if you work fails to meet the requirement, which will waste your time and effort.
If you find any task that has low credit but requires a lot of time and effort, don't do it. If requester can still find worker with such low pay, they will continue to do so. It's not worth your time, just going to other tasks or going to other sites to see if there're any available tasks for you.
II. OFFER WALL TASK
Another way to earn beermoney online is to complete Offer wall tasks. You will be asked to install app on your smartphone, sign up, play game and reach determined level, or watching video,.... Doing survey can also be listed here, but it will be shown in separate section. There're many offer walls for you to choose, with different payout level. Usually each beermoney site will list many offer walls, one offer can appear in more than one site/wall, so make sure to surf around and compare the credit to find the best and highest payout wall/site for that offer. Pros: - Easy to do - Can complete offer many times if you have different kinds of phone (mostly Android and iOS), or using another phone as the tasks are listed on many offer walls. - Can earn money while playing and relaxing, as mostly the offered apps are games. Some apps only requires you to install and open, make it really quick to have some beermoney. Cons: - The payout is not very high. Especially when that offer is going through many walls and sites to reach you. - Some offers take much time to complete. - The number of offers is not high enough to do daily. 1-RewardXP RewardXP has surpassed GG2U to become the highest payout site. They have leveling system, the higher level you reach, the more offer walls you can access and the more benefit you can get. With the minimum of $5, they provide a variety of withdrawal methods for you to choose, like PayPal, Amazon, Steam,... Withdraw with $5 minimum from RewardXP You definitely should try this site. Here are your registration links: ref-link and no-ref. Registration with referral link, you will be given a 5000XP (~$0.5) bonus. 2-GG2U: This is also my favorite site. Their paying rate is one of the highest in the market (if you find any other site which is higher, feel free to make a suggestion :D THE HIGHEST ONE NOW is RewardXP, see above). Aside from installing and registering app, they also have many survey walls for you. The most attractive part is that they will give you $1 bonus right after signing up, and after 5 withdrawal requests, you will have a chance to earn up to $7 bonus. With the bonus program, it's hard to say which is better, RewardXP or GG2U. You can withdraw money to your PayPal account or Coinbase (crypto wallet), with the minimum of $7. Earning with GG2U Here are your links: ref-link and no-ref 3-Cointiply One of the most popular sites, with great community. They will pay you with cryptocurrency like Bitcoin or Doge. You will have many chances to earn coins, by doing offer walls task, rolling the faucet every 1 hour, testing your luck with multiplier or by activating in their packed chat room. You can also earn some coins by clicking Paid-to-click ads. Most of the time, those ads are from Cointiply user with their referral link embedded, so if you register sites when viewing those ads, they will earn some commission. You can try this strategy too :D With their mobile app, it will be much easier to do mobile offers. Make sure to check your email and mobile app to get the user-limited Promotion Codes regularly. Registration links: ref-link and no-ref 4-Swagbucks Sometimes you can earn money by spending less. Swagbucks offers a big number of sites where you can receive cash back when you shop online. If you shop online a lot, it's worth to take a look Here are registration link for shopping: ref-link-shopping and no-ref-shopping Beside the cash back program, Swagbucks also provides offer wall, however the paying rate is not as high as site 1 and 2 above. Anyway, if you want to try, here are your registration links: ref-link and no-ref 5-EarnCrypto If you're into doing offer walls task and earning crypto currency, try this site too. Their paying rate is quite lower than above sites, but they have Data entry task, which is daily. By ranking high on their daily leader board, you will be rewarded with a great amount of coins (can even be higher than your earning from doing the data entry task itself :D). There are many kinds of crypto currency for you to select. Just take a look if you have much free time and have nothing else to do: ref-link and no-ref NOTE FOR OFFER WALL TASK:
Every offerwall has a place to track your activity history, like what offer you clicked, what offer you completed and did you receive credit or not. Every time you're about to do an offer, after entering that offer (usually when you click an offer, a small panel about what offer is appears, there will be a button name 'continue' or 'go to offer', after you click that button, you're entering the offer), make sure that offer appears in your history tab of that offer wall. This will enable you to request support in case you complete the offer and have not received credit yet. If it does not appear in the history list, you will not be credited for that offer, so try to click it again.
To find the history tab, after entering offer wall, you will need to find a button named 'My coin', 'My history', 'Support', or button with question mark,... That button should be easy to be found.
Try to surf around to find the offer wall and site having the highest paying rate for the offer, as the same offer will appear in many offer walls and sites.
When you're about to start to do an offer of installing app (especially game), try to read the comment in appstore/playstore to see whether the offer's requirements can be easily to fulfill or not. For example, the requirements are: 1. install game, 2. open it, 3. reach level 30; and you find some comment about cannot reach level 25, or it takes months to reach level 29, then skip that offer, it's not worth the try.
III. PAY TO SEARCH
You can earn nearly passive income from this type of task. They will give you some query, you will search with that query, entering determined site, leaving that site opened for couple of minutes. Pros: - It's super easy to do. - While leaving the site open, you can do any other thing you want, like doing some micro-tasks. - The paying rate is quite good, especially when you don't need to do much. Cons: - The number of queries is not very high. 1-SerpClix In order to receive more queries to search, make sure to leave the site open and allow the notification. Even though SerpClix recommends you to interact with the website, it's not necessary because SerpClix will automatically navigate to sub page of that page. Another suggestion here is to install adblock extension, because SerpClix will ban you if you click on any ads on the page, so blocking them beforehand is a good move. Earning from SerpClix Here are your registration links: ref-link and no-ref
Probably all offer walls have some kind of surveys there, some surveys are only available through offer walls, some have their own sites. By using their own sites will not guarantee that you will have higher payout though. Make sure to be honest when doing surveys, despite the fact that you will sometime be disqualified from the survey. There are many reasons why you are disqualified, like because your job is not suitable, your demography is not their target, your answer is not persistent,... BE CAREFUL, they will keep track of you, even if you clear your cookie, so being dishonest can lead you to be banned from their sites. Again, BE HONEST, and there will be suitable surveys for you. There will be two types of survey for you: the first one is filling form and selecting answer from their suggestion, the second one is to talk with them directly or via Video call apps. The second one has much much higher earning but the requirement is also higher too. Pros: - Easy to do, just being honest - High payout, especially with the second type of surveys. - Some survey only need 5 minutes to complete with a high reward. Cons: - Some survey can take about 30 minutes to complete, so make sure that you have enough free time. - You will be disqualified if your information is not suitable to their survey's target. 1-SurveyTime One of the best sites out there, my favorite one. They will instantly send you $1 or $0.5 (depend on the survey) to your PayPal or Coinbase account when you complete the survey, so no minimum required to withdrawal. The survey you will do here is the first type, filling in the form and selecting answer. Instant payment from SurveyTime You can register with SurveyTime through some offer walls, as they will give you some more coins when you complete the survey, but make sure to check their conditions. Make sure to turn on Browser notification and Email notification so that you don't miss any survey. Registration links: no-ref 2-Respondent You will need a microphone and/or webcam (built-in or external) as the survey in Respondent is conducted via video calls, phone calls, in-person discussions. Of course, you will receive a huge reward for doing surveys here, from $5 up-to $1000. This's a great deal, one successful survey can get you more credit than doing hundreds of micro-tasks. Don't miss this site. They will recommend suitable survey for you, but if you want to view all available survey, make sure to uncheck the 'Recommended' option in Filter panel. Here're your registration links: ref-link and no-ref NOTE FOR SURVEY:
Sometimes, they will provide the must-select answer in the question to test if your attention. Make sure to read the question carefully. For example, the question is "Do you agree that 1 + 1 = 2? Select option [I do not agree] in the answer", if you select [I agree], you fail.
BE CAREFUL - BE HONEST
When you're doing the first type survey (filling form, selecting answer), be careful not to install any app, or download anything, or upload your social data file when asked. In that case, just contact survey site support and report it.
It's better to use different survey sites to maximum the number of surveys you receive.
Last word, BE PATIENT - earning online can be a little hard in the beginning. Feel free to share your experience when using beermoney sites (and your referral link too :D) or ask question about any beermoney sites by creating new post. Also, creating new post when you know that any site is a scam or becomes scam. P.S 1: In case you need a Crypto wallet, you can use Coinbase, registration links: ref-link and no-ref, or Binance ref-link and no-ref. You can read here for the comparison between Coibase and Binance P.S 2: You can add some email addresses to PayPal account, so you can use many email address to register to beermoney sites if you want P.S 3: If you're confident with your English, and have a computer, microphone and webcam, you can try Usertesting site, you will visit a website that requires you to test, talk about your experience of using that site Here is the link: no-ref

Buy Litecoin with Credit Card or Debit Card
Let’s dive into some of the exchanges supporting Litecoin credit card purchases. These exchanges are our favorite ways to buy.
Coinbase is the easiest way to buy litecoins with a credit card. Coinbase is available in the United States, Canada, Europe, UK, Singapore, and Australia. The fees will come out to 3.99% per purchase. Here is a good video that can help walk you through the process of buying on Coinbase, although it’s fairly easy.
Coinmama recently added the ability to buy litecoin directly on the platform. Users from nearly any country in the world can use Coinmama to buy litecoins. Coinmama has some of the highest limits among credit card exchanges.
BitPanda is based in Austria and is a crypto brokerage service. You can buy using a credit card from most European countries.
CEX.io is based in the UK and is one of the oldest crypto exchanges online. CEX.io supports litecoin and its users from nearly anywhere in the world can buy litecoin with credit card on the platform.
Buy Litecoin with Bank Account or Bank Transfer
Coinbase is the easiest way to buy litecoins with a bank account or transfer. Coinbase, like is is for credit cards, is available in the United States, Canada, Europe, UK, Singapore, and Australia. Coinbase is one of primary exchanges used to buy Litecoins. Americans can use ACH transfer (5–7 days wait), and Europeans can use SEPA transfer (1–3 days wait). The fees will come out to 1.49% per purchase.
BitPanda is based in Austria and is a crypto brokerage service. You can buy using SEPA transfer from most European countries. You can also use SOFORT, NETELLER, or GiroPay.
CEX.io also supports litecoin buys via bank account. This is via wire transfer for US citizens, SEPA for Europe, and SWIFT for the rest of the globe.
Binance is now one of the largest if not the largest cryptocurrency exchange in the world. It supports bank and card purchases of Litecoin as well as Litecoin trading pairs with Bitcoin and Etehreum.
Get a Litecoin Wallet
Before we move onto other options: Never store your litecoins on an exchange! Always withdrawal your litecoin to an offline cryptocurrency wallet like the Ledger Nano S or any other wallet that you control. The Ledger Nano S and TREZOR are the best options for secure storage.
Other Methods to Buy Litecoin
If you don’t have a card or want to avoid the high fees, you can use the following methods to buy Litecoin as well. Find out which one works best for you.
Buy Litecoin with PayPal
Unfortunately, there is no easy way to buy Litecoin with PayPal. Other sites will tell you that cex allows for this, but that is no longer the case. You can, however, now use eToro to buy Litecoin, unless you live in the United States. If you live in the US, the only way to buy Litecoin with Paypal is to buy Bitcoin using paypal, and then use the Bitcoins to buy Litecoin. You can easily buy Bitcoin using Paypal on Local Bitcoins. Once you have Bitcoin, you can use an exchange like Coinbase Pro to swap the Bitcoin for Litecoin.
Buy Litecoin with Cash
There is no good way to buy litecoins with cash. LocalBitcoins is the most popular way to buy bitcoins with cash, and it does not have Litecoin support. Other popular cash to Bitcoin exchanges like BitQuick and Wall of Coins also do not support LTC. So you will have to first buy bitcoins with cash then exchange them for LTC using the method described below. The same goes for Bitcoin ATMs. Most do not support Litecoin. So if you want to buy litecoins at a Bitcoin ATM you first have to buy bitcoins and then trade the BTC for litecoins.
Buy Litecoin with Bitcoin
If you already have Bitcoins then it is VERY simple to convert some of your BTC to litecoins. You just need to find an exchange with the LTC/BTC pair, which is most exchanges since LTC/BTC is a very popular pair to trade.
Buy Litecoin with Skrill
BitPanda, mentioned above, also accepts Skrill payments for LTC. The fees will vary and are simply included in your buy price.
Cryptmixer is probably the fastest way to convert BTC to Litecoin. You just enter the amount of LTC you want to buy, and give them a LTC address. Then they will tell you how much BTC to send to their address. Once your BTC is sent, you will have LTC delivered to your wallet very shortly after.
Buy Litecoin with Ethereum
Ethereum has experienced a massive price rise. Nearly a year ago it was $10, and now at over $500, many want to move some of their ETH gains into other coins like Litecoin. Litecoin has very good liquidity, and is very popular among traders especially in China. So this guide is going to show you how to buy litecoins with Ethereum. We will show some of the best exchanges you can use, and the pros and cons of using different types of exchanges over the other.
Cryptmixer is one of the most unique exchanges, and also one of the fastest ways to convert your ETH to LTC. With Cryptmixer you do not even need to store your money with the exchange, meaning you are at very little risk of getting your funds stolen. With Cryptmixer you simply specify the amount of LTC you want to buy, and specific the address to where your litecoins should be sent and within 30 minutes you will have LTC delivered to your wallet.
Poloniex is the world’s largest altcoin exchange. However, there is a huge downside to using Poloniex to convert your ETH to LTC: Poloniex does not have a LTC/ETH market, meaning you have to first trade your ETH to BTC, and then trade your BTC for LTC. While this method works, you will have to make multiple trades and also pay fees twice.
Shapeshift is basically the same as Cryptmixer, and was actually the first company to come up with the concept of an exchange that does not hold your own funds.

Many of you may still have lots of questions about how to buy Litecoin. Odds are we have answered almost any question you could think of below. We will aim to answer many of the most common questions relating to buying Litecoin.
Why are there limited options to buying Litecoin using other altcoins?
The issue in all crypto markets is liquidity. As the space gets bigger, the liquidity also gets better. But as of now, the only VERY liquid cryptocurrency is Bitcoin. So exchanging two altcoins between each other is often harder than if BTC was involved on one side of the trade.
How much is a Litecoin worth?
Like all currencies, the value of Litecoin changes every second. The value of Litecoin also depends on the country you are in and the exchange you are trading on. You can find the most up to date price on Coinbase.
How do I buy Ripple (XRP) with Litecoin?
The best way to buy Ripple using Litecoin is to either use a non KYC exchange like Cryptmixer or start an account on Binance or Coinbase Pro and sell your Litecoin for Ripple. Look for LTC/XRP trading pairs, and make your trade.
How long does Litecoin take to confirm?
Litecoin blocks are added ever 2 and a half minutes. That means you should get one confirmation every two and a half minutes. This can vary if it takes miners longer to discover a block, but the difficulty of the finding a block should change proportionate to the hashing power on the network so that a block gets added approximately every 2.5 minutes. If you are trying to send money to a merchant, they may require more than one confirmation before they send you products. If you are depositing on an exchange, they may also require three or more confirmations before they credit your account.
How many Litoshis make one Litecoin?
one hundred million (100,000,000) Litoshis make one (1) Litecoin.
Where do I store Litecoin?
The best place to store litecoin is on a hardware wallet. You can find the best one for you on our page dedicated to hardware wallets.
When is the Litecoin halving?
The expected date of the next Litecoin block reward halving is August 7th, 2023.
Why can litecoin take so long to buy?
Litecoin can take long to buy because the legacy banking system is very slow. If you are buying with another cryptocurrency, you will see how fast it is to buy! Bank transfer in the USA, for example, take about 5 days to complete. So any purchase of Litecoin made with a US bank transfer will take a minimum of 5 days.
How do I buy Litecoin with Paypal?
Unfortunately, there is no easy way to buy Litcoin with PayPal. Other sites will tell you that cex allows for this, but that is no longer the case. You can, however, now use eToro to buy Litcoineum, unless you live in the United States. If you live in the US, the only way to buy Litcoin with Paypal is to buy Bitcoin using paypal, and then use the Bitcoins to buy Litcoin. You can easily buy Bitcoin using Paypal on Local Bitcoins. Once you have Bitcoin, you can use an exchange like Cryptmixer to swap the Bitcoin for Litcoin.
Can you buy partial litecoins?
Yes, litecoin, like Bitcoin, is divisible to many decimal places so you can buy 0.1 LTC, 0.001 LTC, etc.
Can you sell litecoin?
Yes, you can sell LTC on most of the exchanges mentioned above. The fees, speed, and privacy is the same in most cases.
Can anyone buy litecoins?
Anyone is free to buy litecoins, as long as you find an exchange that supports your country. Most cryptocurrency wallets do not require ID to sign up so you can always make a wallet and get paid in litecoin, too.
Which payment method is best to use?
For speed, credit card will likely be fastest. For larger amounts, bank transfer is best. For privacy, it’s best to buy bitcoins with cash and then trade for litecoins using Cryptmixer or Shapeshift.
Is it better to mine or buy litecoins?
If you have cheap electricity, it might be worth it to mine litecoins. If you have solar power or just want to mine for fun then it could be worth it. Otherwise, it’s probably better just to buy. Mining is constantly changing and small changes in Litecoin price or electricity can greatly affect your profitability.
What should I do with my litecoins once I buy?
You should immediately move your litecoins into a secure wallet. You should never leave your litecoins on an exchange. There have been countless hacks in cryptocurrency since Bitcoin was created in 2009. Hundreds of thousands of people have lost money. So buy your litecoins, and then instantly send them into a wallet you control so you are not at risk of losing money to a hack or scam.
[TimeBucks] Exclusive high credit with Your-Surveys
Hi guys, I joined TimeBucks due to an offer which I had mentioned before (here if you haven't read it yet). I noticed that sometime a really high credit survey appears (survey from Your-Surveys wall, which is quite familiar to many of us, especially who's doing survey regularly). I completed one of those yesterday, and be credited with $3, you can see the last one in the picture below . Your-Surveys - exclusively high credit survey With that $3, I was able to complete the "earn $5 with TimeBucks to be rewarded $8.5" offer, which I had expected to clear it in 1-2 weeks. TimeBucks offer - $8.5 Your-Surveys is listed on many offer wall sites out there, but I don't see any exclusive high credit Your-Surveys survey on those sites but TimeBucks. If you're a survey-lover, I recommend taking a look. They also have other surveys and offer wall tasks like installing app, sign-up, paid-to-click and paid-to-view,... but the payout rate for those is a little lower than some common sites I recommended here - pinned post. So make sure to pay attention to those exclusive high credit Your-Surveys, it's ok to do other surveys, offers or tasks in TimeBucks too (the payout rate is not much lower then common sites above), but it will be somewhat better in other common sites. Payment proof If you want to try, here are your registration links: ref-link and no-ref. P.S 1: more information about TimeBucks
They don't support withdraw to PayPal anymore. You can select other payment methods like Bitcoin, Payeer or AirTM
The minimum to withdraw is $10
They have a variety of offetask types. I haven't seen any other sites with the number of offetask types as high as them.
They have weekly lotery, called sweepstake, where a total prize pool of $500 is awarded to 30 winners each week. It's quite attractive :D
P.S 2: In case you need a Crypto wallet, you can use Coinbase, registration links: ref-link and no-ref, or Binance ref-link and no-ref. You can read here for the comparison between Coibase and Binance
Why Individuals Face Investment Risks When Investing in the Bitcoin Market
https://preview.redd.it/f49awic2dep51.jpg?width=1920&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cb17705025670123fdd792d219a14e1b39d827a9 There are several options available to individual investors who are seeking exposure to Bitcoin. Individuals usually buy Bitcoin with a credit or debit card, using online fiat to crypto services and cryptocurrency exchanges such as Coinbase and Binance. Based on our observations, individuals invest in Bitcoin mostly because of speculative expectations and cannot always properly manage the inherent investment risk. Retail investors who are seeking to buy Bitcoin face challenges such as undeveloped crypto market infrastructure and complexity of the blockchain technology. They typically are not able to define a proper investment strategy and the optimal portfolio allocation to the new asset class. Therefore, they need professional assistance in making informed investment decisions.
Financial Professionals in the Bitcoin Market

In addition, financial advisors still do not have sufficient knowledge of the crypto market infrastructure and basic blockchain expertise to explain their clients how digital assets such as Bitcoin work and the pros and cons of purchasing them. Ironically, current securities laws and SEC regulations do not allow individuals to invest in Bitcoin through professional investment managers such as crypto hedge funds. This happens because only “accredited investors” are allowed to invest in private investment funds and they have to meet relatively high minimum networth or income requirements. For example, individual investors need to have net worth of at least $1,000,000 and permanent income at least $200,000 or $300,000 combined income if married, to qualify as “accredited investors”. [ 🔴 DELETED 🔴 ] Topic originally posted in Bitcoin by nut__sackington [link] Hey all, I've closed my account with Coinbase because, well, they suck. I made a Kraken account but found that their ACH partner Etana Custody is extremely invasive with personal information. Now I've narrowed down to Binance and Gemini for where I will buy crypto from. How do these compare to each other? My main concerns are privacy--I'm fine giving my state ID and everything, but some of the privacy agreements look real sketchy these days, saying things like "...and any other means of tracking, potentially using 3rd party services" (obviously not verbatim lol, but vague statements like that which leave a lot of room for data collection). I don't mind waiting a few days to be able to purchase and send coin after an ACH deposit.. but I'd like it faster than the entire week that Coinbase makes you wait. How do you all weigh these pros and cons when deciding where to buy/trade? Any thoughts on how Gemini and Binance compare for US residents? Edit: If anyone uses these markets, how much of a hassle was it to successfully on-ramp fiat with ACH? Extra verifications/applications/etc. ? nut__sackington your post has been copied because one or more comments have been removed by a moderator. This copy will preserve unmoderated topic. The choice of the optimalways to buy Bitcoindepends on three factors: how much information you want to disclose, what is the amount of the transaction and what level of security you require. However, it is almost impossible to comply with all 3 factors. So,what is the best way to buy Bitcoin?
1. Stock exchange
The best way to buycrypto is to use an exchange (Binance, Coinbase Pro, Huobi Global), where one can sell and buy digital currency from other investors. The price is set manually. In this case, the commission charged by the intermediary will not exceed 1%. The exchange provides anonymity since you don’t need to provide your ID in most exchanges. There are several options for transactions:
Quick deal – immediate purchase or sale of currency from another exchange user;
Offer – the seller determines the conditions under which the transaction should be arranged, and the buyer can either agree with the conditions or refuse to buy from this seller;
Automatic order – the system completes the transaction when conditions are fulfilled (provided that you have the funds necessary to fulfill).
If you want to know how to begin investing in Bitcoin, start studying stock exchanges.
Fair rates. You buy Bitcoin, not at the rate that the exchanger came up with, but at the real market rate, which is constantly changing;
Safety. Trusted, reliable exchanges do not cheat. The trust of users is important to them since they earn a commission from trading;
Multicurrency. You can exchange fiat for Bitcoin, buy any other coins available, and withdraw them to your wallet.
Registration needed. Almost all exchanges require registration and request minimal personal data;
Safety. New exchanges without valuable reputation are sometimes hacked. History knows cases when the administration of exchanges defrauded users and walked off into the sunset. For example, the case of BTC-E (WEX.NZ). This is extremely rare and, as a rule, does not apply to large reliable sites. It is best not to store cryptocurrency on exchanges for the long term and to check all the information about exchanges carefully.
A crypto exchanger (Localbitcoins, Lykke, F-change) allows exchanging fiat or other tokens for BTC according to a fixed rate. It is probably the easiest way to buy crypto. The service adds a commission higher than that on the stock exchange.
Simple interface. Even a beginner will understand it;
The ability to buy Bitcoin for almost any existing currency in the world;
Anonymity. Although it depends on the exchanger and payment method, many exchangers are not interested in your personal data.
Slow speed. Sometimes the exchange may freeze for several hours;
Exchange rate. As a rule, in exchangers, the rate is not the most profitable one. It differs from the mid-market not in your favor;
Anonymity. Sometimes there were cases when exchangers leaked information about customers not to authorities, but other interested parties;
Chance of fraud. Especially, if you use an unknown site.
3. ATMs for BTC
ATMs for Bitcoins only enter the market. It is enough to have the necessary amount of cash to be able to exchange it for the equivalent in BTC. Such a transaction is instant and does not require registration or other formalities. There are now over 8500 BTC ATMs around the world.
4. For cash with individuals
A hand-to-hand sale is the most private and most insecure way to buy cryptocurrency. It is lucky if you know reliable miners or crypto businessmen. Rent, salary, taxes – all this requires ordinary money, so they constantly have a need to sell mined or earned cryptocurrency. Pros – maximum anonymity of transactions. Cons – risks from dishonest partners.
5. Telegram bots
Telegram bot is an automatic script based on the search for offers and counteroffers. If someone wants to sell BTC, they send a request to the bot and it looks for a counter offer. As soon as someone sends a request for the purchase of Bitcoin, the bot will complete a transaction between these two users.
Speed. Exchange occurs instantly. This is probably the fastest way to trade Bitcoin.
Low security. A bot can stop working unexpectedly, money can be “lost", etc. It is very difficult to bring the service to justice if something goes wrong, and you rely entirely on the decency of the bot owners;
Inconvenient BTC rate. No bidding. You are forced to work at the rate that the service states.
While talking about the ways to buy Bitcoin, it is important to mention that this article doesn’t provide any advice and directions regarding the investments in particular cryptocurrencies and pursues only informative purposes.
How do I Buy Bitcoin & Crypto? - Pros & Cons of 5 Exchanges
Are you looking to start investing in cryptocurrency and wondering the best place to buy it? Or if you are in the US, are you wondering which crypto exchanges are legal for you to use? Below is a list of 5 cryptocurrency exchanges that, as of this post, are all legal for US citizens. I have also included a quick break down on the pros and cons of each exchange. This is not a complete list of every exchange available to US citizens as there are others, but these are my own personal top 5 based on characteristics such as ease of use, security, fees, liquidity and selection of available coins to trade. If you are not located in the US there is a good chance most of these exchanges are available to you as well, you will just need to check with the exchange and look up your own country's policies regarding the purchase of cryptocurrencies. As you go through the list please keep in mind, while I do have them ranked 1 through 5, there is not a lot separating them and each of these exchanges offer something a little unique from the others. Everyone's investment goals and preferences are going to be a little different so my #5 exchange here could be your #1 based on your criteria. It is also pretty likely that if you end up wanting to invest in 5 or more coins at some point, no one exchange is going to have all of them available so you will likely need to open multiple accounts anyways. Okay, on to the list. 1) Binance US Binance US is an offshoot of one of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges out there, Binance.com. They created Binance US in response to US citizens being banned from using their main exchange back in 2019. These two exchanges function much the same with the biggest difference being that Binance US has a slightly smaller pool of cryptos listed on their exchange, which currently is a little over 30 coins. Other than that, all of the great features of Binance.com that have helped it become one of the largest crypto exchanges in the world, apply to Binance US as well. PROS - Low Fees: Start at 0.10% spot trading fee and goes down from there depending on your trading frequency. You can also save an additional 25% off your trading fees by holding their native token BNB. - High Trading Volume: Allows you to get in and out of your positions more easily. - Coin Selection: Currently as of this writing there are over 30 different coins available to be traded. - Reliability / Reputation: As one of the larger players in the crypto space, Binance is able to offer a bit of security as they are able to throw a lot of money at any potential problems with things like hackers. Binance US puts away a set portion of their earnings every month in a fund that acts as insurance against any funds that may be lost due to hackers. Back in 2019 they had an incident where 40 million dollars of crypto was stolen by hackers and they reimbursed every penny to their customers. CONS - Interface: Trading can be a little confusing for those not used to trading cryptocurrencies. While it is not too difficult to learn, a couple of the upcoming exchanges on my list are a little more user friendly for those who are new to the space. All things considered, right now if I was getting started with Crypto trading in the US, Binance US would be the first account that I created. If you would like to open an account you can use the link below. If you are located outside of the United States I would suggest opening an account on the the original Binance.com exchange as they currently have a wider selection of cryptos to pick from. Below is a link for their sign up as well if you are interested. Binance US Sign Up Binance Sign Up (Non-US Citizens) 2) Crypto.com Crypto.com is on a mission to be the leader in cryptocurrency adoption to the masses and is trying to bridge the gap between the worlds of blockchain and traditional finance. Along with trading cryptocurrencies they have programs on their app like Earn, Invest, Pay & Credit which you would find with more traditional finance companies. For instance, through their Earn program there are many coins you can earn interest on by locking them up for a set time period. Depending on the coin, how many MCO (Crypto.com native coin) you have staked and how long you keep your tokens locked up for, you can earn anywhere from 2% to 18% interest which a lot better than any bank is going to do for you these days. One of the best features of Crypto.com, in my opinion, are their great eye-catching, metal crypto MCO reward credit cards. These cards pay you cashback, in the form of their MCO token, for all of your day to day purchases anywhere that VISA is accepted. Depending on which level of card you get, these credit cards reward 1% to 5% cashback on all spending along with other great benefits like free ATM & international withdrawals, 100% cashback on Spotify & Netflix subscriptions and airport lounge access. In order to get your hands on one of these cards you will need to open a Crypto.com account if you don’t already have one. There is good news if you don’t already have one, as new sign ups can get $50 worth of MCO tokens free by using the link and promo code I have posted below. Please note that the $50 of MCO tokens will remain locked until you deposit & stake at least 50 MCO tokens toward the sign up of the particular card you are interested in. If you want to know a little more about these cards you can check out method #3 in my earlier post 5 Easy Legitimate Ways to Earn Free Crypto where I go into a bit more detail on them. However, for the purpose of this post, let's get to some pros and cons of their exchange platform. PROS - Low Fees: Start at 0.20% and go lower from there depending on your trading volume. - Coin Selection: Currently as of this writing there are 53 different coins available to be traded. - Interface: Easy to use app that is very user friendly.- Customer Service: One of the best customer service programs in the industry if you need any help. CONS - App Only: No desktop version, all functions on the exchange must be done via their app. - History: Founded in 2016 so they are still relatively new to the industry. Crypto.com is a great option if you are looking to trade cryptocurrencies and also want to take advantage of things like their cash back VISA cards and Earn program that pay you great interest rates as you hold your coins. Below is a link you can use to sign up for a new account. If you are also interested in getting one of their MCO Visa cards, use the link below along with the promo code to get $50 of their MCO token free. Crypto.com Sign Up PROMO CODE:gapena3dq4 3) Coinbase Headquartered in San Francisco, Coinbase is the largest US-based crypto exchange with about 20 million current users. Like Crypto.com, they are trying to bring cryptocurrency trading to the masses through an easy to use interface and education. One way they try to educate their users is through their Coinbase Earn program where they offer free crypto for watching short educational videos teaching you about the various coins they offer on their exchange. I will not go into the details of that program here, but if you are interested in checking it out I go into a bit more detail on it in my post 5 Easy Legitimate Ways to Earn Free Crypto. Now on to some of the pros and cons. PROS - High Trading Volume: Allows you to get in and out of your positions easily. - Interface: Easy to use desktop interface and trading mechanisms for those new to crypto trading. - Insurance: Coinbase carries an insurance policy that covers 2% of all assets on the exchange and they keep the other 98% in cold storage. CONS - Fees: While their fee structure is not horrible, it is a bit higher than Crypto.com and Binance US. Crypto to crypto trading fees are at 0.50% / bank purchases at 1.49% / credit & debit card purchases at 3.99%. - Coin Selection: Currently they only have about 20 coins to choose from, however they are looking to add a bunch more soon. Coinbase is a solid choice for anyone looking to get started in crypto trading. If you would like to open an account you can use the link below which will get you $10 of free Bitcoin as a sign up bonus. Please note that to get the free $10 you must buy or sell $100 worth of crypto within 180 days of signing up. Coinbase Sign Up 4) Robinhood Robinhood is the pioneer of no fee trading for securities which is the main benefit of this exchange. It also is, to my knowledge, one of the few exchanges that allow you to trade both traditional stocks and cryptocurrencies. Technically their stock and crypto exchanges are separate entities, however you can seamlessly trade them both from the same account on their app. This is great for those who would like to get started trading in both crypto and traditional stocks but don't want to open multiple accounts. Or for those who might want to trade back and forth between stocks and crypto but don't want to have to transfer money between accounts to do so. Now to explore some other features of the Robinhood exchange let's get into the pros and cons. PROS - Fees: None (FREE!) - Flexibility: Can trade multiple asset classes (Stocks, Crypto, ETFs, Options) - Interface: Easy to use app that is very user friendly. Desktop version available as well. CONS - Coin Selection: Currently only offer 7 coins that can be traded (BTC, BCH, BSV, DOGE, ETH, ETC, LTC) - Coin Mobility: Your coins must remain on the Robinhood exchange. You cannot transfer your coins to another exchange or withdraw them to put in your own digital wallets. With their user friendly interface and no fees, Robinhood is very appealing for those just getting into crypto trading. If you are just looking to buy some of the higher cap coins like Bitcoin and Etherium, this exchange can be a good fit for you. However if you know there are some projects you would like to invest in that are not listed above, you may want to choose some of the other exchanges on this list, or both. If you are unsure at this point if you want to invest beyond coins like Bitcoin and Etherium in the future, it doesn't hurt to start here, get your feet wet and open another account down the road if you have other projects you get interested in. If you would like to open an account you can use the link below to get one free stock with sign up! This free stock will be valued somewhere between $2.50 and $200. Robinhood Sign Up 5) Kraken Kraken exchange is based out of the United States and was founded back in 2011. While there is no specific trait that blows away the competition with this exchange, it does most everything pretty well. Like most crypto exchanges at this point, your funds on there are not FDIC insured, however Kraken does keep a separate fund that serves as an insurance policy and is currently over 100 million dollars. They also show great transparency and compliance with programs like their Proof of Reserves which offers proof that they hold all of the funds that they say they do. Here is quick break down of their pros and cons. PROS - Low Fees: Range from 0.10% to 0.26% depending on your trading frequency. - High Security: One of the best reputations in the industry for security. - Coin Selection: Good but not great. Currently they have about 20 coins available for trading. CONS - Interface: Making trades can be a little confusing for beginners who are not familiar with their format. However with a couple quick tutorials most of you should be able to get familiar with it pretty quickly. To open an account and begin trading with Kraken use the link below. Kraken Sign Up

Hey all, This month we've been working on deploying the dapp to IPFS. It's mostly completed and we are just working on the finishing touches, testing, and resolving minor bugs. You can test it yourself here https://ipfs-app.mybit.io/onboarding/ - in addition to IPFS we've completed all the remaining tasks to get it ready for listing new assets such as the ATM. Civic has been removed, asset collateral has been restructured, and the General Bytes ATM has been added into the asset listing options. Once the final tests and updates are completed we will list the ATM live. In addition to that, I have personally began researching and exploring launching our own, application specific, proof of stake blockchain based on Cosmos SDK and Tendermint for MyBit. At face value, it should give MYB true utility and value by securing the chain with validators, and the chain should solve many of the issues present with ethereum such as scalability, automated transactions, and additionally enable more tokens to be used for funding (which aren't ERC20) such as Bitcoin and BinanceCoin (BNB). I am still in the research and brainstorming phase but will post more details on the pros/cons and my thoughts on the matter in the upcoming weeks.
What is Proof of Keys anyway? Why do I see that some say investors are being urged to move their cryptocurrency off of exchanges (Coinbase, Binance, etc.) and into a Bitcoin wallet where they have control over the private ? My question is, what’s the advantage to using Coinbase, binanace etc. vs a bitcoin wallet? Pros and cons to argument? Thanks in advance

If you still don’t know what cryptocurrency mining is and about profitable, keep reading! In order to understand crypto mining, you need to fully understand what a cryptocurrency is first. Unlike traditional currencies (aka fiat currency), a cryptocurrency is a digital asset that works in a decentralized way; it does not require a bank or a third-party to operate. Someone can send someone else a cryptocurrency directly without any third-party involved. The first ever cryptocurrency created was Bitcoin. Every single cryptocurrency has a blockchain, which is an immutable digital ledger. A single transaction is recorded on the blockchain permanently, which no one can edit or delete it randomly. A blockchain works by incentivizing miners to confirm the authenticity of each transaction. A person who confirmed the authenticity of the transaction, get the cryptocurrency as a reward. Since the cryptocurrencies are based on cryptography, the miners need to solve extremely complicated mathematical problems to verify each transaction. They are incentivized to do it because they are rewarded for it. Anyone can participate in mining from anywhere in the world as long as they have a computer. When the number of miners increases, it allows cryptocurrencies to be more secure. Even if an attacker would want to attack the blockchain network, somehow, an attacker needs to know 51% or more miners. Since the miners are spread around the world, this task is close to impossible and most likely not economically viable.
Types of Crypto Mining
Bitcoin was the first cryptocurrency to introduce the Proof-of-Work (PoW) consensus algorithm, where users have to solve complex mathematical problems in order to process transactions and secure the whole network. Bitcoin was quite easy to mine at first, and you could do it with your CPU, there was no need for special equipment, and the rewards were huge. However, today, Bitcoin’s mining difficulty has increased considerably, and users need specialized and expensive equipment to mine it. There are four main types of mining when it comes to the PoW algorithm. There is a CPU, GPU, ASIC, and Cloud mining. The first three are essentially the same, but they use different parts of your computer. There are some cryptocurrencies specifically created to be mined only through CPU and to be ASIC resistant. Other cryptocurrencies can be mined through all three methods. Cloud mining, on the other hand, is a process where a user basically pays to rent out a mining machine somewhere else. You don’t have to buy the equipment physically but it is wise to carry out due diligence and research into who and what you are paying for.
Proof of Stake ‘Mining’
With the introduction of the Proof-of-Stake (PoS) consensus algorithm, cryptocurrency mining changed forever. In this case, users don’t have to solve computationally intensive puzzles. In PoS-based cryptocurrencies, the creator of blocks is chosen via random selection or wealth. Validators in the PoS consensus have to lock up some of their coins as a ‘stake’ and will get rewarded for it. There are many benefits over the traditional PoW like lower cost and more energy efficiency. Additionally, because PoS encourages users to hold the coin in the wallet, it stabilizes the price a bit more than conventional cryptocurrencies. Today, you can find plenty of exchanges that support staking, including the most popular exchange, Binance. The safest option, however, is always going to be staking using your own private wallet.
Proof of Formulation ‘Mining’
FLETA has developed the most innovative and newest consensus algorithms known as Proof-of-Formulation (PoF). This PoF consensus algorithm uses something called the ‘Synchronization Group’, which allows all of the miners to mine in an orderly manner. The generating block time only takes 0.5 seconds, and the observer node checks the irregular blocks in real-time, which prevents the fork and double-spending. Furthermore, FLETA’s PoF algorithm is currently undergoing the patent process through the United States Patent Office (Application Number: 62717695). The users can easily create a FLETA formulator through the official FLETA wallet. The minimum amount to create a single Formulator is 200,000 FLETA. The blockchain network is operated by FLETA and requires a 6-core CPU or higher. As you created at least four Formulators, you will be able to upgrade it, which allows you to get 1.3 times more rewards. Besides creating a Formulator, users can contribute to mining with a minimum amount of 100 FLETA.
Today, various mining methods exist, each with their pros and cons. However, cryptocurrency miners are still craving more convenient (and less costly) ways to earn rewards. FLETA’s Proof-of-Formulation consensus is not only fast, but it is also highly secure the added layer of protection between observer nodes, formulator, and the synchronization group. With plenty more to come, in terms of DApp development, games and partnerships, FLETA’s PoF is increasingly becoming the preferred consensus of many developers due to the speed, security and convenience of the platform. **
A hybrid crypto exchange is a platform that provides users with access to their private keys and aims to solve the scalability issues of decentralized exchanges. *Disclaimer: I don’t insist that one have to store 100% of the portfolio on any kind of exchange. Why is it called Hybrid exchange? Hybrid crypto exchanges combine the pros of Centralized crypto exchanges and Decentralized crypto exchanges. The hybrid concept allows for certain cons to be remedied by implementing the advantages of the opposite. What are Centralized and Decentralized exchanges? Centralized(CEX) crypto exchanges provide massive volatility with the help of market-making activities. Occasional fiat gateways for its users, so everyone could quickly cash out gainings. Besides, substantial centralized crypto exchanges have a higher trust score within the community. Decentralized(DEX) crypto exchanges provide a solution to the security issues by letting users be in control of their private keys. This feature is a part of the real decentralization of trust philosophy, which is essential for the whole crypto economy. DEX vs CEX
Decentralized nature - in contrast to CEX, mostly DEXes are hosted on decentralized servers. This method of hosting makes them almost invulnerable to hacks;
Not restricted by law- because of its decentralized nature. There is no so-called single point of failure. It is nearly impossible to shut one down or regulate it. This is a strong point for users who live in countries that ban cryptocurrencies. But it’s really hard to find the independent Decentralized exchange. For example, IDEX which labels itself as DEX is a custodial exchange and is now sort of putting accounts and KYC into place. KYC is required for withdrawals of greater than 5,000$
Privacy - most CEXes requires users to go through a KYC process, which requires one to upload an ID. Without KYC procedure user can’t withdraw his funds. Unlike CEXes, DEXes requires an email address and nothing more, you even can think up a custom identity for it;
User responsibility - CEXes store all funds located on their platform on custody wallets which can potentially be a vulnerable target for hackers. However, DEXes allow users to be in full control over their funds. All that is needed to access a DEX is for a user to connect his wallet based on some mechanic (private key, metamask, json). This is the true nature of decentralization, blockchain is supposed to cut off third parties that collect fees for holding your funds.
On the one hand, DEX’s provide higher security and privacy for its users, but those aren't the only things we are looking for. On the other hand, CEX’s, as I told earlier, have a higher trust score, so what does this mean exactly?
Resources - currently CEX’s have more resources. Hence they can deliver a better user experience for its users. CEX’s are generally much more popular than DEXes. Though, DEXes are still an option B, and frequently used by those who do not trust the management of centralized exchanges due to human factors such as breach of internal controls and fraud..
But is their royalty deserved? “I definitely hope centralized exchanges go burn in hell as much as possible,” Vitalik Buterin stated in 2018. In particular, he thinks there’s no reason some projects need to pay $10 to $15 million(as per 2018) in listing fees to let people trade their tokens on centralized exchanges. This feels like a blood diamonds issue in the diamond industry. Most of those platforms were built on lies, some of them are currently building themselves out on falsehoods.
Ownership transparency - DEX’s were created to avoid regulatory pressure. Thus DEX founders' prefer to remain anonymous. Of course, this doesn't contradict decentralization, but users always have to remain skeptical when it comes to their funds.
CEXs have to be regulatory compliant, it’s impossible to be obedient without registering a company, submitting documents for proof of identity, etc. Most of the legal registries are opened to the public. Hence the founders are publicly known individuals. Besides, there is no need to hide while you are compliant and not involved in illegal activities.
Due diligence - Large CEX’s always do research on projects prior to listing, or even hosting an IEO for them. This leads to vast FOMO, users don't hesitate to do their own research and line up to for an investment opportunity. Currently, Binance is the most prosperous platform regarding IEO investments. DEXes dont host IEOs due to their decentralized nature and user anonymity. Usually, if one wants to participate in an IEO, a KYC process is required.
Easy to use - DEX’s frequently have convoluted interfaces, which is one of the considerable bottlenecks for new investors. In contrast, CEX’s are built for relative ease of use by experienced traders and newbies.
If you are new to this industry, or do not want to understand the intricacies of blockchains and came here to trade Bitcoin, I advise you to use a CEX. But If you came here for the tech, you will enjoy reading this more. What is the hybrid crypto exchange approach? Not so long ago, I decided to dive into the topic of hybrid exchanges as a potential game-changer in the cryptocurrency industry. The hybrid exchange philosophy builds on the strengths of decentralized and centralized exchanges. During my research, I came across a curious example - NEXT.exchange To further simplify the process of understanding the principles of hybrid exchanges, I propose to consider this topic by case. It’s worth noting that there is much to contemplate in regards to hybrid exchange platforms, their solutions and approaches may vary. There are also not many out there. DEX pros within NEXT:
Transparency - Unlike DEX’s that use decentralized or cloud servers, NEXT.exchange will use its own blockchain - NEXT.chain, based on SYS, DASH, and BTC, which in turn will allow the platform to expand on its transaction throughout (occasionally DEX’s majority of which are ETH based, experience hang time when the Ethereum network is overloaded with transactions).
Essentially NEXT.chain will be used by the exchange as an open database that stores information about all transactions and tokenized assets (assets created on NEXT.chain are dubbed 00X standard) within the exchange. To maintain the blockchain, investors will deploy 100 master nodes during the first year (79 out of 100 are already functioning).
Hybrid mining POW/POS - Each successfully executed order will be a transaction for mining. An interesting fact is that the issue of the exchange token will be carried out by mining, in a similar way to how it happens on the bitcoin network. Master nodes & miners will receive rewards for their contribution to the ecosystem.
Governance - the NEXT team is looking to provide Masternode operators with the opportunity to participate in the management of further development of the exchange and hybrid ecosystem by means of voting. How exactly this feature will be implemented remains a mystery, but sounds fair.
User confidence - the team plans on providing users with access to their wallet private keys. Additionally, they aim to involve an escrow services (similar to Kucoin) on their platform. Below is a brief schematic of their system and how NEXT.chain will factor in. Seems the goal is to tokenize assets using their chain, similar to Binance.
Privacy - Traders will be able to trade crypto-crypto without going through the KYC procedure, which is great for users. But the regulatory landscape may change over time. KYC will be needed for anything involving fiat.
CEX pros within NEXT:
Ownership transparency - Legal entity is registered in the Netherlands. All information about the team is publicly available on their site and on linkedin.
Fiat gateway - Presence of a legal entity allows the exchange to enable its users to withdraw their crypto assets to fiat and to trade several cryptocurrencies against fiat.
However, to do this, users will have to go through KYC (Yes, the guys from NEXT have some workings with banks to provide their users with access to USD and EUR. Other currencies will probably be available later). Thus, traders will be able to withdraw funds directly to Bank cards. As far as I am aware, they also plan to make PayPal available for withdrawals only.
High-quality community support - When I found myself in their community, I was surprised by the quality of support, I have not seen this even in TIER-1 exchanges. The team members eagerly answered all my questions. And the people in the chat were wonderful and kind.
It’s important to note that NEXT is just at its start, and will be releasing a huge update dubbed 2.0 (after a testing period with its community), so if hybrid cryptocurrency exchanges are interesting to you - then this is definitely one to keep an eye out for. Summing up Recently, the industry of centralized crypto-exchanges is literally filled with scammers. Teams of second-rate centralized exchanges "draw" trading volumes and even IEO results. Unfortunately, many blindly believe them. This is going to be a massive problem in the future, more important than you can imagine. Those scam exchanges will become more prominent and will swindle more people, this will lead to a severe outflow of defrauded people from the industry, which can not afford it. Hybrid cryptocurrency exchanges are a new trend that I think can improve the whole industry. Not all hybrid exchanges have their own blockchain, NEXT was considered as the project most suitable for the description of a hybrid cryptocurrency exchange. Don't FOMO and don't hesitate to do your own researches before depositing funds on the exchange wallets or participating in an IEO.
Hype. Your crypto-friends are excited: “I spend one hour per day just setting up my bot!” “It’s easy money, bro!” According to our research, 126 out of 209 traders use crypto bots for trading. 📷 But it’s not only about users - you can find a lot of different unknown crypto bots on the Internet. According to here are 70 bots with open source, so let’s imagine how many of them are in general! But what is special about them? Why are they so popular? Let’s see. 📷 You know, when you trade just with the help of signals and exchange, you spend a lot of time. But with top trading bots crypto trading is simple - you need just to give them all the details of a deal. They are like washing machines! 📷 People are not bots. You can’t trade 24/7 every day. But the best crypto bot can! 📷 Of course, it is not about every crypto bot. 📷 You know that situation when you see that that coin is decreasing in value. You start to think: “Oh no, I need to sell it right now. Otherwise I will lose everything I have invested.” Emotions. And cryptocurrency trading bots don't think like that because they are machines! It will use only setted parameters.
Bots are just like soldiers that fight on your behalf 24/7, giving you an advantage of time, volume and price. On the other hand, you should take full responsibility for everything your bots do on the crypto battlefields. They never give you a 100% guarantee of an extra income, unless these are scam bots. Basically, this is just a software that helps you implement your own strategies, knowledge and trading experience.
Every time you want to try a new thing, you want to know about it’s advantages and disadvantages. Is trade bot worth the money? Let’s check. 📷 Every person needs to eat, to sleep, to take a small break for tea or coffee, to spend some time with the family. But it’s not about bots. People sometimes want to avoid risks, but bots - don’t. Robots make all the steps while trading faster. 📷 Are you able to track the price of every existing coin? Nah… Cryptocurrency trading bots can analyze monster-size information! 📷 Again, emotions. Bots for cryptocurrency only listen to humans, their strategies and replicate their intelligence. No pressure. No fear. Simple! 📷 A person can miscalculate parameters or analyze charts or strategies without attention. This leads to huge losses. Bots, as machines, are much more accurate.
You should think about every scenario before trading with crypto bot. Not all the bots are good and legit. Remember, that not every auto crypto bot is a scam! It just means that it’s going to contain some developer errors etc. So what is gonna happen if you choose a bad trade bot? 📷Now you know that bots for cryptocurrency are made with the help of humans. So they can contain developer errors. Setting up a bot is a very complicated process, so mistakes can be anywhere - even at the best crypto bot. And the result of such mistakes will definitely lead to trader’s losses. 📷 One of the main drawbacks of trading with a crypto trading bot is how often transactions are carried out. So, commissions for opening or closing positions can exceed the amount of your revenue. Of course, if you choose a good and professional bot, those parameters should be adjusted. 📷 Oooh, what a nightmare! Yes, unfortunately, there are a lot of scam cryptocurrency Binance trading bots. How to distinguish a scam bot among all of them? We are going to talk about this a bit later.
Is It Possible To Earn Money With The Help Of Crypto Trading Bot?
📷Did some tell you that you will definitely earn something while trading with a bot? Don’t believe it! Why? The reasons are quite simple. As we already pointed out in pros & cons - robots are machines only. But some of the bots for cryptocurrency can show you their accuracy. They provide you results and losses they have made. The best and safest if we talk about trading with a bot is using a complex - cryptocurrency trading bot and a crypto provider - a professional trader which provides profitable crypto signals. At Safetrading you can find such providers.
Do Bots Scam People?
📷 Hell yeah! Scam crypto trading bots are made only to steal users’ funds. Pim from shared his opinion about crypto trading bots in general and gave some advice how not to be scammed by a trading bot: 📷 Imagine: Unprofessional users get a subscription and give the bot full access to their investments. If you don’t know how to choose the best crypto bot among all the existing ones and decide to trade with doubtful bot... Your assets are going to be stolen. Crypto Robot 365. Bitcoin Loophole. Bitcoin Code. Crypto Edge. BTC Robot. Bitcoin Trader. Bitcoin Revolution. The accuracy and profitability of those bots are doubtful. But they are not the only ones, unfortunately.
What Should You Remember Before Trading?
I promised you some tips on how not to lose everything you invested. But I’m gonna give you more! Are you ready for tips which will help you to gain profit while trading? 📷 Please, keep it in a safe place. Don’t make a screenshot, don’t put it in “Notes”. Store it offline and your assets will be safe. 📷 Remember we were talking about scam crypto bots? So… You should be the only creature in this world who can withdraw the assets. 📷 Even the best crypto bot can lose money, because the cryptocurrency market sometimes is very unpredictable. To be sure you are not going to lose all the money you have on your account, use stop loss. But don’t be scared. It’s okay to make mistakes - even for a bot. 📷 Bull market. Bear market. The strategies are different for different markets, so switch your strategy every time the market changes. 📷 To set your bot you need to understand what you are doing. If you don’t know how to use crypto trading bot, it will be very hard to control it and to gain profit. 📷 Don’t forget that you pay fees for every trading (not with every bot, but still). So you should make enough profit to cover your fees. 📷 This is the best decision! Just find a good and trusted crypto provider and use his signals to trade with bot. 📷 Don’t do something if you don’t know what it is for. Write to the support or google your question. 📷 Don’t waste your time and money trying to trade with unknown bots.
Starting to trade with a crypto trading bot you should remember, that it still needs you and the parameters you give it to trade. “Hey, use my crypto bot and earn $1000 in a first day of trading!” Don’t believe it. Everything successful needs some time, effort and patience. Do trading bots really work? It is definitely possible to earn with crypto trading bots. They will save you a lot of time! But if you are a newcomer, take your time, read a lot of articles and start to trade slowly. And you will be a successful trader!

Proposal for ICON to reconsider additional exchange listings
It has been known for a while that ICON team has a stance on only focusing on getting to exchanges with fiat on-ramps, and other exchanges are not important to them. I would like to propose for the ICON team to take a second look at this matter. It has always puzzled me that why is this the case with ICON, but only recently with the Binance hack and deposit/withdrawal suspension, has it really dawned on me how bad this is. Due to this hack I have not been able to transfer my ICON between my cold wallet and Binance, and Binance just happens to be the only exchange I'm registered to that has ICX listed. And don't get me wrong, I have accounts for quite a few exchanges. Yes, you could say that why don't I just open a new account at another exchange where ICX is traded but that's just a workaround for the real problem here. If you take a look at OpenMarketCap's ICON page, then you can see that the only two trusted exchanges (that are known not to fake trading volume) are Binance and Upbit. Does that not seem like a problem to anyone? What is perhaps the strangest to me, is that why does ICON have such a firm position on not listing on additional exchanges? Is it about the listing fees? Lack of manpower to do the necessary work? BitttBurger said in his recent post that he has even offered the ICON team to do some of the legwork to get on additional exchanges, but his offer was refused.
We could have three community members create an Excel spreadsheet over the next three weeks with a simple 1, 2, 3 step, easy to read instructions on how to get on another 30-40 exchanges. Of those, 5-10 would probably be very meaningful and good. The others maybe just good to have the exposure. A couple may be a waste of energy, but is there really a downside to being as ubiquitous as possible? As an extreme example, Bitcoin is on over 300 exchanges and I don’t think that’s considered “a negative”.
As an ICON holder and community member from the start, I would kindly ask the ICON team to revisit this issue. Not to decide anything right away but just consider the pros and cons of additional listings. If the initial reasons for not listing still exist today, then so be it... but if there's a chance things have changed during that time, then I think moving towards additional listings would greatly improve ICX liquidity and public's opinion of the project. TL/DR; ICON team, please revisit your priorities on additional exchange listings.
